Year 7 3D Art

Year 7 Art students recently completed an exciting and engaging project focusing on the creation of clay food. Students explored the tactile nature of working with clay, while also learning about the importance of form, texture, and colour in the creation of realistic-looking food.
Throughout the project, students began by researching different types of food and analysing the characteristics that make them unique. They then practiced sketching and modelling their ideas in 2D before moving on to the more challenging task of sculpting their ideas in 3D using clay.
This project provided an excellent opportunity for Year 7 Art students to explore the versatility of clay as a medium whilst learning important artistic techniques and concepts. The students’ final pieces showcased their hard work and dedication, each piece was unique and demonstrated the students’ creativity and attention to detail.
