Marist-Sion College recognises and acknowledges the traditional custodians of the land on which our school stands, the sky above us, and its surrounding waterways. We acknowledge and pay our respects to their Elders past and present, as well as their emerging leaders of tomorrow, and with them we celebrate a unique living culture that continues to this day. We acknowledge the Gunaikurnai people and the Bunurong people of the Kulin nation on whose lands our staff and students live.
We pray that their spiritual attachment to the land might inspire us to treat it with respect, and encourage us to seek God’s presence in all parts of our lives.
We commit to working with our First Peoples to move forward in a spirit of reconciliation.
