  • Training/experience/expertise in relevant area(s)
  • Teaching qualifications and suitable registration with VIT

Teaching Expertise

  • Commitment to the development approach of learning, demonstrated through targeted teaching and use of evidence-based learning and teaching strategies, in order to enable high student learning growth and developmental learning progression
  • Ability and willingness to engage in ongoing professional reflection and dialogue to enable ongoing improvement
  • Ability to develop positive relationships with students
  • Willingness to implement positive education strategies and restorative practices
  • Effective classroom management skills
  • Computer literacy, including the ability to use ICT to promote quality learning
  • Commitment to support, monitor and follow up students in the role of Tutor
    (if applicable)

Ethos and participation

  • Commitment to actively supporting the Catholic ethos of the College
  • Ability and commitment to work positively with colleagues as a member of mutually supportive staff teams
  • Willingness to contribute to ongoing curriculum and course development, to enhance student outcomes
  • Commitment to high standards of professionalism, including child safe practices
