Numeracy Tutor

Part Time | Fixed Term

Commencing 19 April 2021

Marist-Sion College seeks a capable and experienced Mathematics teacher who will help small groups of students to enhance their numeracy skills and knowledge.

The successful applicant will demonstrate knowledge of and expertise in contemporary pedagogy, and have a strong ability to build enhance students’ numeracy outcomes through targeted support.

This fixed term position is partly funded by State Government funding.

As Tutor, the successful applicant will help the College fulfil its mission:
To provide an innovative education
which integrates faith, learning and life
in a welcoming community.

S/he will assist in the preparation of graduates who are effective learners and skilled citizens, ready to live life ‘to the full’ (Jn 10:10).

Learning Support Officer

Part Time | Fixed Term

Commencing 26 April 2021

Marist-Sion College seeks a Learning Support Officer to maximise educational outcomes for students with additional needs by providing access to the curriculum in response to learning needs and Personalised Learning Plan (PLP) goals.

The Learning Support Officer works as part of a holistic team consisting of the Learning Support Leader, members of the Learning Support Team, students and families. The aim is to assist the Subject Teachers with the role of educating children with special learning needs. Learning Support Officers work under the supervision of the Learning Support Leader who has responsibility for the design, implementation and evaluation of education programs and related services.

Emergency Teachers

Marist-Sion College seeks innovative Emergency Teachers to be available when required at various stages throughout 2021.

Marist-Sion is a Catholic co-educational secondary College of 950 students, located approximately 110 km south-east from Melbourne.
