Careers and Pathways

Career development is the ongoing process of managing life, learning and work. Within the school context, it involves aiding the development of skills, knowledge and attitudes aimed at supporting students to plan, research and make informed decisions about education, training and career choices.

The College has two key positions with responsibility for supporting students in Careers and Pathways:

Key areas of responsibility include the provision of general career and course information and counselling for students, as well as communication of relevant careers information, opportunities and programs to the College community. This role is the first point of contact for careers enquiries including those from students, staff, parents and tertiary institutions. This role is also responsible for the management of the Career Resource Area and the Year 10 Work Experience program.

Key areas of responsibility include the provision of careers information and support for students whom are part of an applied learning program within the College as well as the primary contact for students undertaking Vocational Education and Training and/or Structured Workplace Learning as part of their applied learning program.
