Graduate Teacher Program – Induction and Mentoring 

Focused on individuals seeking to build a career in education, our Graduate Teacher Program – Induction and Mentoring provides innovative, energetic and dedicated graduates with exposure to core learning areas and opportunities to be mentored by Expert Teachers. The program offers: 

  • Ongoing employment commencing December (Headstart) 2024 or January 2025. 
  • A safe and inclusive environment to nurture your skills. 
  • Dedicated one on one mentoring from Expert Teachers. 
  • Networking opportunities with Graduate Teachers from other schools. 
  • Weekly optional collaborative workshops for Graduate Teachers to seek advice, review the week and plan for upcoming events on the College calendar. 
  • Extensive opportunities for internal and external professional learning and development. 
  • Participation in the Diocese of Sale and VIT – Graduation Induction and Mentor Program, in partnership with your mentor and other graduate teachers. 
  • Ongoing support to complete the transition from provisional to full VIT registration. 
  • Access to a comprehensive learning and development library through EC by Go1 Learning Portal 

 

Salary and Conditions 

  • $77,248 + super + salary packaging + 17.5% leave loading + 1% position allowance

Graduate Teacher Payment: 

Graduate Teachers who commence employment at subdivision T1-1 prior to 1 May 2024 will be paid a lump sum on progression to subdivision T1-2 in the following year as set out in the following table:
