On Thursday 18 June, Marist-Sion College held an Anti-Racism Day. The idea of an Anti-Racism Day arose from our College Captains, Kalai and Ethan. Students were invited to dress in the colours of the Aboriginal flag, to show solidarity with First Nations people who often suffer racism.
Students were asked to contribute a gold coin donation. So far, the students have raised $1145 for the Aboriginal young people at Santa Teresa, a community supported by the Marists in The Northern Territory.
Thanks to our community for strongly supporting Anti-Racism Day.
